South Bay Beat Institute classes are governed by the following terms and conditions.

Thank you for your interest in taking a class at the South Bay Beat. Institute ("SBBI" or "Our School" or "Our Company" or "We" or "Us").

The Terms and Conditions stated here govern all SBBI classes. You should carefully review the following Agreement. We provide classes to you only on the condition that you accept all of the Terms and Conditions stated in this Agreement. Registering for and/or attending our classes indicates your agreement to be bound to the Terms and Conditions posted here. This Agreement will take effect at the moment you submit your registration ("Registration") electronically and/or in hardcopy form, and/or begin attending SBBI classes, whichever is earliest. If you do not agree with this Agreement, you are not granted permission to access or otherwise use our Service. This Agreement may be governed by the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act).

All references herein to "We" mean South Bay Beat Institute, including its successors and assigns.. All references herein to "Student" or "You" refer to any participant in our classes and residencies. Parents/Legal guardians accept the Terms and Conditions on behalf of their children.

  • All classes are led by qualified teachers in their field of expertise. Most staff have valid fingerprint clearance; those who have yet to obtain such clearance and who teach children will co-teach with an instructor who has this clearance.
  • Registration for classes happens through our website and class fees are paid when the class begins. Once paid, class fees are non-refundable. They can be transferred to a future SBBI class. 
  • All equipment is provided. Students are also welcome to purchase/bring their equipment (bachi, sticks, narimono, etc) to class.
  • Payment can be paid by check or cash only.
  • A class that is missed by the student, for whatever reason, cannot be made up.
  • If the teacher is unable to teach the scheduled class, then the class will be taught by a replacement instructor or that class will be made up.

 

 

 

These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice from time to time, at our sole discretion. We will notify you of amendments to these term and conditions by posting them to this page.

  • South Bay Beat Institute accepts no liability or responsibility for any injury sustained by the student that arises from participation in any activity connected with SBBI. SBBI also accepts no liability or responsibility for any minors, siblings, friends or relatives of the students who attend and/or wait at SBBI class locations for the students who are participating in classes.
  • SBBI accepts no liability or responsibility for any damages caused by any students, minors, siblings, friends or relatives of the students at any location where SBBI holds classes.
  • SBBI reserves the right to include or exclude any individual or organization at its discretion.
  • SBBI  reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the enrollment quota. In this case, a full refund will be returned to the parent/guardian of the student (if the student is less than 18 years old) or the student (if the student is an adult).
  • The parent/guardian of the student (if the student is less than 18 years old) or the student (if the student is an adult) is required to inform SBBI in writing of any life-threatening or serious medical conditions (for example, allergies) that the student may have. It is a requirement that any student with the potential for anaphylaxis be accompanied to their lesson by a parent or care-giver who is capable of managing the situation if it arises.
  • Where it is impractical to communicate with the parent/guardian of the child student or next-of-kin of adult student, the parent/guardian or adult student authorizes the staff of SBBI to use whatever medical or surgical treatment may be deemed necessary for the student.
  • The parent/guardian of the child student or the adult student authorizes SBBI to use images or recordings of the student in a photo, film and/or audio recording and/or use the student's work sample for promotional use.
  • Registration in a class implies your acceptance of SBBI terms and conditions and your agreement to abide by these terms and conditions.
